RESTAURATION DE L'EGLISE SAINT REMY

Joan of Arc was born in DOMREMY-La-Pucelle, a peaceful village from the Vosges.
The little church where she was baptised is located next to her birth place.
Because of its progressive deterioration, the village council decided to restore it.
The restoration is being done in two stages :
1. repair the roof and the XIIIth century tower
2 . renovate the inside of the church : heating ,lighting , painting of the walls . restoration of the pews . safety device ...etc-
The works started in June 2005 and should be completed by 2008.
The cost of the first stage is 400,000 € financed by the EU, the french government , the Vosges General Council and the village of Domremy-La-Pucelle.
The subventions will not be sufficient for the second stage amounting to 560,000 €,
Therefore it was decided to create the APREJA(Association Pour La Restauration de l'Eglise de Jeanne d' Arc / Association for the restoration of the Joan of Arc church ).
Any donations to support the church restoration are welcome.
